Presenting the 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid…

Porsche are set to unveil their brand new model and most powerful Panamera at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The brand new 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid promises to give Porsche fans the power of past models and fuel efficiency for the future.

The 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will pack a total of 680 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque from a powertrain that features a 4.0 litre 550-hp V8 and a 136-hp electric motor. While this new car is in keeping with Porsche’s previous illustrious Panamera models, this brand new 2018 model is also keeping up with the times by being the very first plug-in hybrid Panamera.

The 14.1-kilowatt-lithium-ion battery pack provides the juice, meaning the car can travel for up to 31 miles on just electricity while the low-end torque allows the hybrid to hit 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 192mph. The battery will take 12 hours to charge on a 120-volt 10-amp plug, but fewer than three hours using a 240-volt, 40-amp socket – for those impatient few!

The model will also have an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox and standard all-wheel drive to round out the propulsion system. Other features include Porsche’s latest luxuries, like a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Porsche Communication Management system, air suspension, ceramic composite brakes, the Sport Chrono package and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.

After looking at all the specification, this hybrid will indeed be capable. This model will hit dealers by the end of 2017, starting at $185,450 (£149,973.42) for a standard wheelbase and an executive wheelbase will cost $195,850 (£158,423.07).
